Countries importing ivory should be held to account for the alarming increase in poaching rate.In Kenya, according to conservationists,45 elephants were killed in 2007,271 in 2009,177 in 2010,and 278 in 2011.
It is also an established fact that Asia forms a big market for imported ivory.So any serious legal action should begin with it.
